With Sparekey your private gym runs without you at the door. A customer picks a free slot, pays online and gets a door code by text message straight away. The code works only for their booking. No keys, no codes texted at 10 pm, no chasing payments. Chrám pohybu and Fithub run their private gyms on it.
What your customer does
- Books a slot. Location, day and time on your booking page. No app, no account.
- Pays online. With cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- Gets the code. A text message with the door code and the time it is valid, then a confirmation e-mail.
- Lets themselves in. They type the code on the keypad at the start of the slot.
Two slots booked in one go share one code. Customers move a booking themselves, up to 24 hours before it starts.
What you do
You set the rules once, then watch the bookings arrive.
- Opening hours, slot length and the gap between slots for each location. See slot length and buffer time.
- Prices by day and time, plus special dates. Cheaper quiet hours fill slots that would stay empty. See hourly pricing.
- Discount codes for launches, partners or regulars.
- Blocked time for cleaning, maintenance or your own clients.
- Unlimited locations, each with its own hours, prices and door. You add them yourself.
You get a notification for every booking. When you cancel one in the admin, the customer gets their money back through Stripe.
The door code
- One code per booking, valid from the start to the end of the slot and not outside it.
- Sent right after payment.
- Ready at the door. The code is stored in the lock before the text goes out.
- A backup code. If the internet at the door is down, the customer gets the backup code stored in your lock. It works with any lock.
Doors
We recommend a 2N keypad with a magnetic lock, fitted by a professional door or access installer. It is wired, has no batteries and is built for doors that open many times a day. It suits most entrance doors, glass doors and gates. See 2N keypad and maglock.

Payments
Customers pay when they book, so there is no cash in the gym and no unpaid visits. The money goes straight to your own Stripe account, not through us. Customers can pay with cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Sparekey takes no fee per booking.
Numbers that tell you how the gym is doing
The admin shows revenue, occupancy per location, what an opening hour earns on average, your busiest times, and new versus returning customers. Export bookings and revenue for your accountant at any time.

FAQ
Does every customer get their own code?
Yes. Every booking has its own code, valid only for the booked time. Slots in a row booked together share one code.
When does the customer get the code?
Right after paying, by text message.
What if the internet at the door is down?
They get the backup code stored in your lock, so they still get in.
Do customers need an app or an account?
No.
Can customers move or cancel a booking?
They move it themselves, up to 24 hours before it starts. Cancellations go through you, in the admin.
Can I keep time for cleaning or my own clients?
Yes. Blocked time is not offered for booking.
