How the price works
Setup, once. We set the system up for your gym and take you to the first paid booking.
Operations, every month. Hosting, maintenance and your SMS sender name. A flat fee, whether you have ten bookings a month or a thousand.
Text messages, per message. Every booking sends your customer one text with their door code. You pay for the messages actually sent.
What the setup includes
- Online payments. We connect Stripe, so customers can pay with cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The money goes to your own account.
- Your doors. We connect your lock and test it. Several doors, a shared building entrance or a gate are solved during setup at no extra cost. See door access.
- Your booking rules. Opening hours, slot length, the gap between slots, prices by day and time, special dates and discount codes.
- Your customers’ language on the booking page, in e-mails and in text messages.
- Unlimited locations. You add new ones yourself, at no extra charge.
- A full test before launch with a real booking, payment, door code and invoice.
How the setup runs week by week is on the setup page.
How you pay
We invoice the setup once, then each month Operations plus the text messages sent. You pay by bank transfer.
What is not included
- Door hardware and installation. You buy the lock or keypad and pay the installer directly. We tell you what to fit.
- Payment fees. Stripe charges its own fee per payment. We add nothing on top.
- Your domain, if you want the booking page on your own web address.
Compared with a monthly subscription
Many booking tools show only a monthly fee. Compare three years:
- Sparekey: setup, 36 months of Operations and your text messages. Only the messages grow with your bookings.
- A subscription: 36 months of the plan you actually need, plus any fee per booking or share of revenue, add-ons such as text messages or a lock connection, and any onboarding fee.
Online payment, door codes and several locations are often in the higher tiers. A fee per booking is small when you open and large once the gym is busy. Estimate your bookings with the slot and revenue calculator.
A subscription can suit you better if you are only testing an idea for a few months, or if staff open the door.
Support and changes
After launch you talk to the people who set up your system, by e-mail or WhatsApp. We connected the payments, the texts and the door, so we check the whole chain ourselves.
Prices, opening hours, blocked time and discount codes are yours to change in the admin. If you need something new, we quote it before any work starts.
